Our piano teacher Lara offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 4 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Lara has been teaching piano lessons since 2015. In her career, this piano teacher has performed at numerous concert halls, weddings, and private events, showcasing her strong background in classical music. She also performed with a chamber ensemble across various venues in New Zealand and Canada. Lara is a passionate singer and guitarist, and has played in many bands and churches over the years. She has performed with the New Zealand indie band “Jane Doe,” the Toronto cover band “Santa With Muscles,” and most recently with singer-songwriter Mark Cassidy in the Toronto pop/folk duo "Whelan.” Lara is also a talented composer, and previously won the Sheila Wynn Shakespeare Festival prize for original composition. As a music educator, her lessons incorporate pop standards, classical elements, and a solid foundation in musical theory. Lara offers a well-rounded approach to learning piano, and her students benefit from her undeniable passion for music, composition, and performance.
