Our piano teacher Yolanda, in Fairbank, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Yolanda has been teaching piano lessons since 2010. As a performer, Yolanda has performed on piano worldwide, including in Canada, Ecuador, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland, and the United States. Her piano talents have led her to perform at various festivals around the globe, including the Academie Musical de Morges Switzerland, the Festival de Música de Camara Aguas Calientes, the Toronto Summer Music, the Festival Internacional de Música in Ecuador, and Evolution Classical at the Banff Centre for the Arts. Yolanda has won piano solo and chamber music competitions in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. She also has extensive experience as a chamber musician, working with other instrumentalists to deliver captivating performances. She is currently the pianist of the Obsidiana Duo, and has been performed with other ensembles, such as the Carnyx Trio, the Kuyum Ensemble, and the Loja Trio, among others. Yolanda is a highly sought after collaborative pianist and vocal coach. She has worked in a variety of formal piano settings, including at the University of Western Ontario, the Instituto de Música in Veracruz, Mexico, and the University of Toronto. Yolanda provides engaging and personalized piano instruction, helping students of all ages develop their skills and love for music.
