Jun 16 Galen: Piano Teacher in M4Y, Toronto

Our piano teacher Galen offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 5 and above, from beginner to very advanced. This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Galen has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. Galen has performed as a soloist in a variety of settings, most notably at weddings and at the piano bar of the The Madison Avenue Pub. While pursing his studies at Carleton University, he was part of both the Carleton University Choir and the Fusion Ensemble. While there, he was a founding member of The Tackies, who performed at Ottawa Bluesfest and previously toured across Eastern Canada. Galen also has extensive experience performing with musical theatre productions, having played in over a dozen pits. He also has further experience as music director for shows such as Heathers: The Musical and The Rocky Horror Show. Combined with a strong background in musicology and common practice theory, Galen strives to teach his students good fundamentals in music as well as how to apply them to playing and performing on piano.
