Our piano teacher Mathieu offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music in Piano Performance degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Mathieu has been teaching piano lessons since 2007. In his 20 years as a performer, he has given numerous solo and collaborative piano recitals in Canada and South Korea. His most recent solo recital in Busan featured the Korean premieres of several solo piano works as well as spoken commentary about each piece in Korean. Mathieu has extensive chamber music experience with soloists, small groups, and large ensembles. He has also acted as the lead keyboardist and pianist in several musical theatre productions, including Footloose, Leader of the Pack, and Kiss of the Spider Woman. He has almost two decades of experience accompanying both student and professional vocalists and instrumentalists in exams, concerts, rehearsals, lessons, recordings, and masterclasses. In addition, Mathieu has accompanied numerous choirs, including the McGill University Chorus, the YMCA-affiliated Gimhae Men's Choir in South Korea, and the R.S. McLaughlin Concert Choir. As a music educator, he is highly sought-after for piano lessons in both Canada and South Korea.
