Our piano teacher Kaitlin offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 6 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher is pursuing a Master of Composition degree, expected to complete by 2027, and has a wealth of experience performing and teaching piano and composition. Kaitlin has been teaching piano lessons since 2021. In her career, this piano teacher has performed numerous times at the Kiwanis Music Festival, both as a soloist and ensemble member. She recently presented her composition recital "A Night at The Art Gallery," where she performed original works inspired by artwork. She is also a talented collaborative musician, and has performed with other pianists, string duos, and string trios. In addition to her experience as a pianist, Kaitlin is a composer who explores the relationship between music and visual art. Her performance and composition talents have won her a number of awards, including the R.F. MacLeod Memorial Entrance Scholarship in Music, the Helen J. Marquis Bursary in Music, first place in the Gower Community Band’s arrangement category, and the Glory of Mozart Travel Scholarship. She also received acceptance to the ICEBERG Institute’s Festival for New Music, where she received her American premiere. This piano teacher believes that for students to get the most out of music education, they must feel safe in their learning spaces, allowing them to be curious, ask questions, make mistakes, learn, and become confident in their capabilities. Kaitlin is committed to creating a safe piano learning space for each student to become the best and most versatile musician they can be.
