Feb 16 Nova: Piano Teacher in The Junction, M6P, Toronto

Our piano teacher's location in The Junction, offers piano lessons on a Yamaha P-105 digital piano, in one of our piano teachers' home teaching studios.

Our piano teacher Nova, in The Junction, offers classical and pop/rock piano lessons for ages 5 and above, from beginner to intermediate levels. This teacher has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition and has been teaching music lessons since 2015. Nova teaches with a focus on improving one's emotional wellness through making music. They find joy in helping their students find a context for the music they study that lets them connect with it on a personal level. Their goal is to make concepts that seem dry more accessible and interesting, so that their students can access it as a form of emotional expression. As a neurodivergent musician themself, Nova has experience teaching neurodivergent students, such as those with ADHD or other learning and executive functioning disabilities, and those who are autistic. They are nonbinary, and enjoy working with students who are exploring their gender expression, particularly as it relates to vocal technique. Their teaching style aims to accommodate the unique learning style of every student, which includes abled and disabled students, and genders of every kind.
