This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Ewen has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. He has been performing as a solo pianist for years in the Toronto area at various venues, bars, and festivals, including The Jazz Bistro, The Rex Hotel, and Kensington Market Jazz Fest. From jazz to pop and contemporary music, Ewen has performed solo for wedding receptions, ceremonies, and various events in the city. He has playing in numerous bands, large and small, ranging from the "A" band at Humber College to Mingjia Chen's Tortoise Orchestra chamber ensemble. This piano teacher has accompanied many jazz vocalists in duo and band settings, and is a sought-after pianist in this regard. He has performed with top Canadian artists such as Larnell Lewis, Roberto Occhipinti, and Richard Underhill. Ewen loves teaching music and makes the enjoyment of his students his number one priority. His goal is to harness and deepen their love and excitement while giving them the skills and knowledge to excel.
