This piano teacher has a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano, with a strong background in classical and contemporary music. Alvin has been teaching piano lessons since 2024. In his career, Alvin has performed as the pianist and keyboardist of his high school jazz band and ensemble, representing the school in multiple competitions and art showcases. He has won a number of awards for his piano talents, including at the Kiwanis Music Festival and the Ontario Music Festival provincial finals. Alvin is also a skilled accompanist, and has played alongside a variety of vocalists and instrumentalists, diversifying his musical understanding and abilities. He has played with the choir at his local Catholic church for two years, performing for mass every Sunday. Alvin’s classical training and jazz ensemble work have made him proficient in many different genres of music. He has experience teaching piano students of all ages, and his innovative teaching methods ensure that each student reaches their full potential and enjoys the learning process.
