This piano teacher has a Bachelor of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on the piano, keyboard, organ, synthesizers, and bass guitar. Steve has been teaching piano lessons since 2005. Steve Lavery is a respected pianist, multi-instrumentalist, performer, producer, composer, and sound designer based in Toronto. Since 2019, Steve has performed internationally with Juno-winning artist JJ Wilde as a keyboardist, synth player, bassist, and musical director for JJ's live band. Steve’s work as a live session musician has seen him open for legacy artists including Kiss, Motley Crue, Scorpions, Pat Benatar, and Incubus, among others. As an in-demand studio musician, Steve has recorded with countless celebrated Canadian artists, including JJ Wilde, MONOWHALES, Fast Romantics, Dave Monks (Tokyo Police Club), The O’Pears, and Kevin Comeau (Crown Lands). Also the co-founder of Locust Ridge Records recording studio, Steve is esteemed for his poignant, empathic, comprehensive, and multi-faceted musicianship.
