Our piano teacher at McCowan and Steeles offers classical piano lessons for ages 1 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Doctorate degree in music and a wealth of experience performing professionally and teaching piano lessons. He has been teaching piano lessons since 1962 privately and in schools. This piano teacher performs regularly in solo piano concerts and with orchestras, including recent engagements at the Glenn Gould Studio, George Weston Recital Hall, and ongoing regular appearances at the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre. In addition to teaching private piano lessons, he has been a piano/music lecturer at universities, choir master, and music director for opera. He has also been a music teacher for kindergarten, and has developed wonderful approaches to teaching students of all ages, from complete beginners to advanced pianists. Although this piano teacher's professional focus is in classical piano, he has a student-focused approach to piano lessons, catered to his piano students' musical interests and often incorporating pop, rock, folk, jazz and other contemporary styles.
